Kelly Recreation Complex is a 30,000+ square foot facility that provides a variety of features and offers the residents of Lakeland (and visitors) access to a diverse selection of recreation activities.

    • ACTIVITY PASS (Semi-Annual or Annual Pass) Covers Weight rooms, Cardio Rooms, Open Swim, Lap Swim, Open Tennis and any Health and Fitness Class with the  next to the name

      Ages 60 and up (individual) $120/$240

      Family (Two adults up to the age of 59 living in same household plus any legal dependents) $400/$740

    POWERPLAY CIRCUIT TRAINING
    This class includes a dynamic warm up, a cross training circuit which includes kickboxing, and a group cool down. Perfect for anyone looking to lose weight and tone their body.

    Practice simple ways to breathe and stretch to health and bring new energy into the body.

    High impact cardio fight fitness. Incorporates fight routines, free weights, resistance training and a high energy workout.

    JUMP ON IT

    MOVE TO IMPROVE
    Exercise program dedicated to helping manage symptoms of Parkinson’s Disease (PD). Regular physical activity provides tremendous health benefits, builds confidence, and helps manage challenges associated with PD. This class supports strength, balance, multitasking, and producing vocal volume. The class welcomes those with PD or any movement disorders as well as care partners.

    PICKLEBALL (indoor)
    Game played with a whiffle ball and wood or composite paddle. Easy for beginners to learn and can develop into a fast-paced competitive game for experienced players. New Players always welcomed.

    Beginners– Learn to dance the basic steps of some popular ballroom dances:  Bachata, Swing, Hustle, Rhumba, Cha Cha, Tango, Waltz, & Fox Trot.
    Inter/Adv– For those who have completed the beginner class and want to improve technique and add variety to their dance skills. Couples and Singles welcome!

    QUILTING - ALL LEVELS
    This class is for all levels of quilters: those who have never sewn before to those just wanting help where they need it. The instructor will have a planned sample quilt for those who do not have a project. Students may bring in their own new project or get help working on a project already started. Please register ahead of the first class, when possible, to allow time to distribute supply list.

    BEGINNING GUITAR
    This class is for anyone who wants to learn the guitar. Learning music can be exciting and rewarding for any age. Students will learn the basic functions and abilities of an acoustic guitar, basic chords, classic chord progression, strumming techniques, and patterns. All of which will be incorporated into a song. Additionally, students will learn how to read diagrams for finger placement and how to tune a guitar. (Guitar required, pick provided. Ages 7 and older)

    A series of presentations about all you wondered about Dementia but never asked! Dr. Fran’s presentations are light, down to earth, and developed for Children of, Caregivers of, People Living With, and Just the Curious about Dementia! Come join us, make new friends, have a bit of fun and learn.

  • User Check-In
    • All users must check in before being permitted to use the fitness areas and gymnasium.
    • New users will be required to register in the participant program and will be issued an identification tag.
    • Lost ID tags are subject to a $1 replacement fee.
  • Weight Room/Cardio Room Rules
    • Close toed shoes required
    • The minimum age requirement is 15 years old.
    • Participants 12-14 years of age may work out if accompanied by a parent or guardian, 18 years old and up.
    • Anyone under the age of 12 cannot use the fitness rooms due to insurance requirements.
    • All participants are encouraged to consult a physician before beginning any exercise program.
  • Co-ed Cardio Room
    • Workout in our cardio room featuring cardio theatre and Precor & Track Master machines such as cross trainers, upright & recumbent bikes, steppers, treadmills, rowers and more!
    • The theatre consists of eight (8) flatscreen televisions on different stations for your entertainment. Standard 3.5 mm headphones are required for the audio.
    • Coed weight room top quality magnum weight machines including leg extension, leg sled, cable-cross over, biceps, chest press, free-weight stations, and more.
