Camp BLAST

• Camp BLAST

  Camp BLAST is the highly successful summer enrichment program for elementary school-aged children providing supervised recreation Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 5:30 PM. (No Camp on the City Observed Holiday for Juneteenth and Independence Day).  Activities include on-site supervised recreation and in-town field trips (skating, bowling, swimming, and the movies).

  Camp BLAST (Elementary school-aged summer enrichment program)

  Cost: $400.00

  Dates
  June 9 - July 25 (7 weeks)
  Monday - Friday 7:30 AM - 5:30 PM
  No Camp Thursday, June 19 and Friday, July 4

  Participants MUST have completed kindergarten and not yet entered 6th grade.

  Parents MUST verify the child’s age with a copy of the child’s most recent report card.

• Camp BLAST Registration

  Participants must have completed kindergarten and not yet entered 6th grade.
  Parents must verify the child’s age with a copy of the child’s most recent report card.

  Cost: $400

  • $250.00 due at registration
  • 3 payments of $50.00 due

  Limited financial assistance is available through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) to those that reside within city limits and meet income qualifications. Check the status of your residence here. 

  In preparation for Camp BLAST registration on March 24, qualification for CDBG will take place March 1 - March 21 at Kelly Recreation Complex or Simpson Park Community Center. 

  Please note, qualification for assistance does not secure registration in the Camp BLAST program.

  • Supervised hours: 7:30am - 5:30pm
  • Camp Extra Location: Kelly Recreation Complex
  • Lunch is not provided

  Space is limited. Register in-person at Kelly Recreation Complex beginning July 7.

Teen Camp

• Teen Adventure Service Camp - T.A.S.C.

  

  Are you ready for something different?
  Are you ready to give something back to the community?
  Are you ready for an adventure?

  Then T.A.S.C. will provide an awesome summer experience!

  T.A.S.C. is a summer enrichment program that offers an incredible experience for teens (6th - 8th graders) with a focus on service and adventure. Get ready for summer 2025 and your most memorable summer camp yet!

  Those interested in T.A.S.C. must complete a selection process that includes an application, references, interest forms, and in-person interview. All campers, including previous T.A.S.C. participants, must complete the entire application and selection process for Summer 2025.

  Participants must have completed 6th grade but not yet entered 9th grade.

  Applications will be available for pickup beginning Monday, March 3 at 9:00 AM at Kelly Recreation Complex. Applications are limited and distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
