About Parker Street
Located minutes away from Downtown Lakeland and bordered by Memorial Boulevard, North Florida Avenue, and Highway 98, Parker Street is home to hundreds of Lakeland residents. Although the area does not have deep historical ties to the city, it does boast the involvement of Parker Street Ministries.
Parker Street Ministries is a Christian organization founded in 1996. Their vision is to aid in community development that is shaped by the Gospel. Parker Street Ministries hosts afterschool and summer youth programs, year-round neighborhood events, and facilitates the neighborhood association.
Their neighborhood events include holiday parties, family dinners and volunteer events. Parker Street Ministries works with their neighbors to beautify the neighborhood by cleaning up yards and maintaining close ties with city departments such as the Lakeland Police Department.
