Jewel Avenue Neighborhood Association

The Jewel Avenue neighborhood is located in the Northwest quadrant of Lakeland and is bordered by West Memorial Boulevard and West 10th Street with North Brunnell Parkway running through the middle to both main roads. The leader of the neighborhood, Pastor Walter Jenkins, is very involved in the quality of life of Jewel Avenue's residents. His main focus is acting as the Pastor of City of Refuge Church located at 1101 North Ruth Avenue in the Jewel Avenue neighborhood. 

Residents of Jewel Avenue can enjoy a beautiful park located at the end of 7th Street. Known as Seventh Street Park, the area has a playground, basketball court as well as a picnic table and bench Pastor Jenkins worked with Code Enforcement to have installed for residents to enjoy while at the park. 

The Jewel Avenue Neighborhood Association is very involved, meeting every month on the first Tuesday of the month with Pastor Jenkins leading the way at City of Refuge Church.
