Stories & Stones Walking Tour

Join us on Saturday, March 21st at 9 AM for a walking tour of one of Lakeland’s oldest cemeteries, Roselawn Cemetery. Explore local history through the stories of past residents and learn about the meanings behind funerary symbols.

Stories and Stones Historic Cemetery tours are offered monthly, alternating between Lakeview, Tiger Flowers, and Roselawn Cemeteries. Tours run October through March and are for ages 13+. Registration is required.

Judy, Joan, and Joni: Three Women that Defined a Generation

In honor of Women’s History Month, the Lakeland Public Library welcomes award-winning Folk-American duo Jennings and Keller presenting “Judy, Joan, and Joni – Three Women that Defined a Generation.”

Visit the Lakeland Public Library Meeting Room on Tuesday, March 24th at 5:30pm to enjoy a tribute to three of the most significant female folk singers of the 1960s. Through the performance of Jennings and Keller, a husband and wife duo from South Florida, you can revisit the songs of three women who helped shape their era.

No registration required. All ages welcome.

Preschool Storytimes at Lakeland Libraries

All three Lakeland Library locations have preschool storytimes for children ages 2-5 and their grownups! With stories, songs, rhymes, and activities, storytimes promote the development of preliteracy, verbal and listening skills, and socio-emotional skills.
