PLUS cards for Students

All Polk County Public Schools' and Lake Wales Charter Schools' students are automatically enrolled with a PLUS Card library account for FREE year-round access to library resources. [NOTE: Parents may opt their child out of PLUS with this PLUS account opt-out form.  Students who opt out will not have access to public library resources unless they have a standard Polk County Library Cooperative card.]

With their PLUS account, students use their student ID number for their library card number and PIN to checkout books, download digital titles, or access online learning resources. No physical card is issued and the PLUS account is not associated with any other library card or account.

With a PLUS Card, students can:

• Borrow up to 5 items from any of the fifteen public libraries in Polk County
• Research articles online from newspapers, magazines, and reference books
• Create presentations and type papers using public library computers
