Fleet and Facilities

This position is responsible for maintaining the police buildings and the vehicles that are used by officers and employees. The Lakeland Police Department building is located at 219 N Massachusetts Avenue in Lakeland. In addition, the police department has a training center which houses classrooms for training, the shooting range, the K9 training facility, SWAT training center and driving track. The department has many fleet vehicles that include marked and unmarked units, as well as vehicles for the Community Services Unit, Public Safety Aides, PAL and Victims Assistance. The many specialty vehicles that are used in the police department include: Special Operations vehicle, Mobile Command Center, Skywatch Tower, Motorcycles, SWAT Rescue vehicle and the golf cart used in the downtown area.
