Commend A Member

Lakeland Police Department members are here to serve the citizens of Lakeland and make every effort to perform their duties in a competent, courteous and professional manner. There are many times that our employees exceed the expectations of the public by providing exceptional service. Citizens are able to commend a department employee as a way of saying thank you for exemplary service or to let the employee know you appreciate their efforts in handling a problem.

If you observe an employee performing their duties in a manner that you think is exceptional and reflects favorably upon the member and the Department, we encourage you to take a moment and tell us about it.

There is great pride in being recognized by the public for providing outstanding service and members who receive such accolades truly appreciate it. Notes of encouragement and thanks help to improve morale and it encourages everyone to work harder to provide quality services to our public.
