If your vehicle has a disabled parking permit in the window or on the license plate, you may park in a “Disabled” space for any length of time, with no charge. If your vehicle with disabled parking permit is parked in a timed “general” space, you may park for free, for up to double the posted time. We also have an online map that will show accessible spaces.

Gandy Pool at Kelly Recreation Complex features a 10 lane, 25-yard short course heated pool with a one-meter diving board and a 3-4 feet deep recreation pool. An accessible ramp with hydraulic lift chair is provided for individuals with mobility impairments.

Hollis Garden is a 1.2-acre botanical garden that is accessible to all who wish to take in its beauty, and admission is free. The garden has over 10,000 different species of plants and flowers and gorgeous views of Lake Mirror. The garden is named after the Hollis family that donated the land.
Lake Morton Drive

Lake Morton is the premier lake to watch our City swans and their families. We have added two accessible viewing areas that are available to individuals with wheelchairs and walkers. The concrete pads, walkways and tables are currently available. These areas are on Lake Morton Drive at East Walnut Street and on Lake Morton drive at Kentucky Avenue.

Recently added to the bleachers at Peterson Park Fields are concrete slabs marked with the universal handicap signs for our guests.
Lake Bonny Boat Ramp and Park

Lake Bonny Boat Ramp is located in Shore Acres, one of Lakeland's seven historic districts. This residential neighborhood was platted in 1924 and is just north of Lake Bonny.
