How to Participate

Members of the public who wish to speak during a City Commission meeting are asked to complete a speaker comment card prior to the start of the meeting. Place the comment card in the basket located inside the entrance of the Chambers. Please note that all submitted comment cards become part of the official public record.

For security purposes, the use of personal electronic devices that require connection to the City’s systems is not permitted. This includes, but is not limited to, thumb drives, USB devices, or any external storage media.

Individuals bringing printed materials to present to the Commission should provide eleven (11) copies at the time of submission.

How to Watch

Visit the Lakeland Government Network portal to watch meeting broadcasts live online and view past meetings.

City Commission meetings and most municipal boards and committee meetings are also broadcast live on Spectrum channel 643 and FiOS channel43 throughout Polk County.

City Commission Meetings are held on the first and third Monday of each month at 9 AM in the City Commission Chambers unless the date falls on a recognized holiday.
