Prevention

Preventing fires is just as important as fighting them. At the Lakeland Fire Department, that philosophy is front and center within the Prevention Division, which administers permits and inspections regarding fire prevention. The personnel within the Prevention Division interact with local businesses, architects, and contractors to ensure fire and life safety within the City of Lakeland and compliance with fire codes. This interaction encompasses commercial plans review, inspections, and fire investigations.

Public Records Requests

Our staff is happy to assist with requests for Public Records.  You must provide the address for the location you wish to obtain records and if requesting Run Reports, the date of the incident.  Please allow 10 business days to fulfill requests.
