Public Notice: Sanitary Sewer Repair Will Impact Section of West Lake Parker Drive

LAKELAND, FL (March 13, 2025) | The City of Lakeland’s Wastewater Collection Division will begin repairs on a deteriorating section of the sanitary sewer along West Lake Parker Drive, just south of Tropical Way. The existing clay pipe will be replaced with modern PVC piping. To facilitate this work, West Lake Parker Drive will be closed between Tropical Way and El Paseo. Construction is scheduled to start on Wednesday, March 19, and is expected to continue through Thursday, March 20.

Crews will work diligently to reopen the affected section of the road by the end of Wednesday, March 19; however, there is a chance the road will remain closed overnight with detours in place until the work is finished. Traffic control and detour signs will be posted to guide motorists around the work zone.
