Legal Notice: Notice of Intent to Assign Land Use at a Public Hearing LUL24-003
The City Commission of the City of Lakeland proposes to change, by amending the Lakeland Comprehensive Plan: Our Community 2030, the uses of land within the incorporated area of the City of Lakeland as shown on the accompanying map and described below. The proposed future land use change is incorporated in Proposed Ordinance 24-045 the title of which reads generally as follows: “An Ordinance Relating to Local Government Comprehensive Planning; Making Findings; Providing for Large Scale Amendment #LUL24-003 to the Future Land Use Map of the Lakeland Comprehensive Plan: Our Community 2030; providing for the application of a future land use designation of Business Park (BP) on approximately 10.82 acres located north of Interstate 4, south of N. State Road 33, and east of Epicenter Boulevard; Providing for Severability; Providing an Effective Date.”
A public hearing to consider adoption of the proposed future land use amendment to the City’s Comprehensive Plan pursuant to Section 163.3184 Florida Statutes, will be held on Monday, December 2, 2024 in the City Commission Chambers, City Hall, 228 S. Massachusetts Avenue, Lakeland, Florida. The City Commission meeting will begin at 9:00 a.m. and the public hearing will be held shortly after the meeting is called to order. Interested persons may appear at the hearing and be heard regarding the proposed comprehensive plan amendment.
PROPOSED LARGE SCALE FUTURE LAND USE MAP AMENDMENT:
- LUL24-003 Large scale map amendment to apply a future land use designation of Business Park (BP) on approximately 10.82 acres located north of Interstate 4, south of N. State Road 33, and east of Epicenter Boulevard. Owner: Elbrecht RV Sales LLC. Applicant: Shelton T. Rice.
Information regarding the proposed future land use map amendment is available for review at the Community & Economic Development Department, City Hall, on Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
