LAKELAND, FL - On Monday, April 20, City of Lakeland contractors will begin milling and resurfacing Lake Hollingsworth Dr. from Palmola St. around the north side of the lake (near Florida Southern College) to the round-a-bout at Lake Hollingsworth Rd. During milling and paving operations, the project area will be reduced to one lane and one direction going east from E. Belmar St. to the round-a-bout. Traffic control signs, detours, and traffic flaggers will be in place to guide road users.

LAKELAND, FL (April 10, 2026) | Today at 9:18 a.m. the City of Lakeland’s Water Utilities Department experienced a temporary fluctuation in water pressure at the T.B. Williams Water Treatment Plant, which affected 80% of commercial and residential water systems across the city and causing activation of some fire alarms. Normal pressure was promptly restored — duration of the fluctuation to normal pressure was two minutes.
