LAKELAND, FL (May 28, 2024) | Starting June 10, 2024, the City of Lakeland Parks Division will remove two declining laurel oak trees adjacent to the Lake Hollingsworth multi-use trail.  The trees have noticeable and documented issues that could cause a hazard to those using the trail. The impacted trees are located on the west side of Lake Hollingsworth across from Patten Heights Street and Hibriten Way (pictures attached). The City Arborist confirmed that the two trees need to be removed as hurricane season beings.

LAKELAND, FL (May 22, 2024) | Starting Monday, June 10, 2024, the City of Lakeland Wastewater Collection Division will be constructing a new sewer service in the vicinity of 207 Glendale Street and 215 Glendale Street (see attached vicinity map). Glendale Street will be closed between Troy Avenue and Hilltop Avenue so the construction can take place.  Access to Hilltop Avenue and Troy Avenue will not be impacted by the project.

LAKELAND, FL (May 20, 2024) | Lakeland Linder International Airport (LAL) is currently working on the development of a large aircraft maintenance repair and overhaul (MRO) facility and medevac helicopter facility planned for the northeast quadrant of the airport off Drane Field Road. The City of Lakeland has retained the services of Environmental Science Associates (ESA) in assisting with the environmental review of the site.
