The Lakes & Stormwater Division partners with lots of amazing volunteers! Keeping litter and pollution out of the waterways helps keep the lakes beautiful for everyone to enjoy! 

• Who can volunteer and clean up litter from the shoreline of my favorite lake?

  Individuals, Families, Friends, Organizations, Schools, Neighborhood HOAs, Employee groups, Community groups, Colleges, etc.

• What kind of volunteer programs are available?

  Lakes & Stormwater has several programs! We have informal one-time cleanup events as well as the Adopt-a-Lake and Adopt-a-Road programs. 

• Can students get volunteer hours for helping?

  Absolutely! At the cleanup, we are happy to sign the necessary paperwork for student volunteers. Minors must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.

• Are cleanup supplies provided?

  Yes! Lakes & Stormwater provides all the cleanup supplies including trash bags, gloves and trash pickers.
