Public Notice: Western Trunk Gravity Sewer Line Project Update – Harden Boulevard Construction Activities

LAKELAND, FL (June 18, 2026) – The City of Lakeland Water Utilities Department will begin the next phase of the Western Trunk Gravity Sewer Line Project with a jack and bore operation on both the east and west sides of Harden Boulevard, south of Beacon Road near the entrance to Fred's Market.

This critical infrastructure improvement project is part of the City's ongoing efforts to enhance wastewater capacity, improve system reliability, and support future growth throughout the community.

Construction Area and Traffic Impacts

Construction activities will occur on both sides of Harden Boulevard near the entrance to Fred's. Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) measures will be in place throughout the project to help maintain traffic flow and public safety.

All businesses will remain open throughout construction, and access to business entrances will be maintained at all times.

Residents and businesses may notice an increased construction presence, including crews, heavy equipment, and construction-related traffic during working hours.
