PUBLIC NOTICE OF ADOPTED IMPACT FEE ORDINANCES AND FEE RATE CHANGES FOR CITY OF LAKELAND TRANSPORTATION, FIRE, LAW ENFORCEMENT AND PARKS, RECREATION AND CULTURAL FACILITIES IMPACT FEES


This site serves as a secondary notice of City of Lakeland Public Hearings.

On August 18, 2025, the Lakeland City Commission held a duly advertised public hearing on the City's non-utility impact fee ordinances relating to transportation, fire, law enforcement, parks, recreation and cultural facilities impact fees. The City Commission adopted new fee studies, associated ordinances and fee rate schedule changes. Some City of Lakeland impact fees will increase under the newly adopted fee schedules. 

The City’s impact fee rates to take effect January 1, 2026, and in subsequent years, as well as current fees, are shown in the schedules accompanying this Notice.  Additional information regarding the City’s impact fees is posted on the City’s website, or interested persons may contact the City’s Community and Economic Development Department at City Hall, 228 S. Massachusetts Avenue, Lakeland, Florida 33801, or by phone: (863) 834-6011, on Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
