City News Blog: City of Lakeland Publishes Business Impact Estimate for Upcoming Proposed Ordinance

LAKELAND, FL | In accordance with Section 166.041(4) of the Florida Statutes, the City of Lakeland has prepared and published a Business Impact Estimate related to a proposed ordinance that will appear on an upcoming agenda. The Business Impact Estimate form has been included in the agenda packet and is available on the City’s official website.

Although the proposed ordinance is exempt from the Business Impact Estimate requirement due to its necessity for compliance with Federal or State law or regulation, the City is voluntarily following the prescribed procedures to ensure transparency and procedural integrity.

This proactive step underscores the City’s commitment to open governance and diligent adherence to legal standards. The Business Impact Estimate provides an overview of the potential effects on businesses and supports a clear legislative process.
