Public Notice: Portion Of Glendale Street Will Close For Sewer Project


LAKELAND, FL (May 22, 2024) | Starting Monday, June 10, 2024, the City of Lakeland Wastewater Collection Division will be constructing a new sewer service in the vicinity of 207 Glendale Street and 215 Glendale Street (see attached vicinity map). Glendale Street will be closed between Troy Avenue and Hilltop Avenue so the construction can take place.  Access to Hilltop Avenue and Troy Avenue will not be impacted by the project.

Local traffic for residents along Glendale Street between Hilltop Avenue and the work zone will be accommodated. Appropriate traffic control/detour signage will be in place for the duration of the work. Installation of the new sewer line is estimated to take less than a week to complete. Wastewater crews will be working daily from 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. for the duration of the project.
