CITY NEWS BLOG: Snowfest 2024 - Celebrating 44 years of Snow in Lakeland

LAKELAND, FL (December 2, 2024)  – The magic of the holiday season returns as the City of Lakeland presents the 44th Annual Snowfest, a cherished tradition filled with snow, festive cheer, and community spirit. Join us on Saturday, December 7, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Frances Langford Promenade at Lake Mirror for an unforgettable evening.

Snowfest 2024 offers families the chance to experience a winter wonderland in sunny Florida. Stroll through a sparkling landscape of man-made snow, twinkling lights, seasonal decorations, and joyful music that captures the spirit of the holidays.

Admission to the event is free with a canned food donation. This year, Snowfest continues its tradition of supporting local seniors by benefiting Senior Orphans and Volunteers in Service to the Elderly (VISTE), two organizations that provide essential services to elderly residents in need. Canned goods will be collected throughout the evening, helping spread holiday cheer to those who need it most.

In addition to the snow, Snowfest 2024 will feature a variety of activities and attractions for all ages, including:

- Santa and Mrs. Claus, ready for photos and holiday cheer.

- Santa’s Workshop, where visitors can enjoy sweet treats and holiday crafts.

- A book giveaway sponsored by the Junior League of Greater Lakeland.

- A vibrant artisan market with arts & craft vendors.

- Delicious food trucks serving up festive bites and treats.

- Free Train Rides for kids.
