As the Spring Training home of the Detroit Tigers, Joker Marchant Stadium sees some of the best talent in the Major Leagues every spring. A multi-million renovation in 2003 and another in 2017 greatly enhanced the player and fan experience at Publix Field at Joker Marchant Stadium. The park originally opened to the public in 1966, it is the second oldest stadium in the Grapefruit League, which has been in operation since the 1890's. The Tigers have been playing in Lakeland, Florida since 1934, currently the longest relationship between a Major League franchise and a Spring Training facility.
