Lakeland Police Department Hosting Career Fair on May 10th
Lakeland, FL (May 2, 2022) - The Lakeland Police Department (LPD) will be hosting a Career Fair for those interested in the rewarding profession of law enforcement, whether as a Police Officer or as a 911 Emergency Communications Specialist. On Tuesday, May 10, 2022, the event will take place from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the downtown station, located at 219 North Massachusetts Avenue. Recruiters and experienced professionals will be on hand to answer questions about the hiring process, benefits, academy sponsorships, training, and more! Also tours of the 911 Communications Center will be available for those interested.
Currently the Lakeland Police Department is accepting applications for:
- Certified Police Officers: Starting base salary of $53,727 with excellent benefits. (view job description and benefits)
- 911 Emergency Communications Specialist: Starting salary of $39,209 with excellent benefits. No experience necessary. Earn a salary while you train. (view job description and benefits)
- Police Academy Sponsorships: Full department-sponsored scholarships available to attend the police academy. No experience necessary. Earn a salary while you train.
