Plantopia Garden Festival | Hollis Garden February 26th
LAKELAND, FL (January 14, 2022) | Hollis Garden will host the Plantopia Garden Festival on February 26th from 10 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. The event is FREE and there will be a number of vendors selling Orchids, Bromeliads, Tillandsias, Aroids, Caudiciforms, Tropical Plants, Bamboo, Grasses, Exotic Fruit Trees, Native Plants, Succulents, Carnivorous Plants, Butterfly Attractants, Spices, Herbs and much more!
Kevin Polk, Ground Maintenance Supervisor that oversees Hollis Garden said, “The Plantopia Garden Festival is an event that we have wanted to bring to the community for years. We are very excited that the Parks and Recreation Department will be able to host this inaugural event at beautiful Hollis Garden. There will be about 15 vendors at the event selling a wide variety of plants so there will be something of interest for all of those that attend. We will also have some of our local plant societies and garden clubs on hand to share their knowledge and expertise.”
Featured Vendors include the world renowned R.F. Orchids, The Necatary, Tropiflora, Sow Exotic, Critter Companions, Mad Plants, George 4 Plants and Beautiful Bamboo. The crew at Hollis Garden invites the public to attend the inaugural horticulture and garden festival brought to you by vendors from across Florida. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Hollis Garden Perpetual Care Fund.
Hollis Garden is a botanical display garden located at 614 East Orange Street in downtown Lakeland. It is set in a neo-classical architectural environment complete with patterned flower beds, public art, and ornamental fountains. Hollis Garden is a formal garden, on a 1.2-acre site located within historic Lake Mirror Park. Here you will find over 10,000 flowers, ornamental shrubs, and native trees.
