Public Notice: Water Line Break Impacts George Jenkins Boulevard at Veterans Avenue
LAKELAND, FL (November 10, 2021) | Water Distribution crews are at George Jenkins Boulevard and Veterans Avenue to repair a water main break. The older concrete line failed most likely due to age. Crews are excavating the area now to get to the break. The roadway of George Jenkins Boulevard is closed from Brunnell Parkway to Sloan Avenue until further notice. Traffic operations has established a detour to help move vehicular traffic in the work zone. It is estimated the work will take several hours to complete and could go on through the night. At this time there is very minimal impact to residents but businesses in the area may be without water during the repair.
