CSX Railroad Crossing Closures
LAKELAND, FL (January 3, 2020) | CSX Railroad notified the City of Lakeland about crossing closures that will be taking place starting January 15th. CSX will be closing the following crossings for repairs and updates:
- Old Highway 37 N, Mulberry, FL
Closing on Wednesday, January 15th at 6 a.m.
Set to reopen Friday, January 17th at 6 p.m. - Old Tampa Highway, Lakeland FL
Closing on Thursday, January 16th at 6 a.m.
Set to reopen Tuesday, January 21st at 6 p.m.
According to CSX, the closures will be around the clock while the work is being done and will require traffic to be rerouted during the scheduled construction. Signage will be in place marking detour routes to least impact traffic. Each crossing will be closed for 2 - 5 days based on the level of work being done. However, dates are subject to change due to weather and/or other unforeseen conditions.
