This comprehensive simulation evaluates the airport's emergency response capabilities and ensures effective coordination among community response teams during an aviation-related incident. Regular airport operations will not be affected.
LAKELAND, FL (January 28, 2025) | The City of Lakeland’s Division of Solid Waste, in partnership with the Polk County Solid Waste Division, will host a FREE Household Hazardous Waste and End-of-Life Electronics Collection Event on Saturday, February 8, 2025, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. This event will be held at the City of Lakeland’s Solid Waste Division Office, located at 605 Evelyn Avenue (off Parker Street). The goal of this mobile collection event is to provide a convenient and safe way for residents to dispose of hazardous household materials and electronic waste.
