LAKELAND, FL (October 22, 2025) | The City of Lakeland is proud to announce the launch of Restore the Core, a comprehensive initiative aimed at updating the plans for the Dixieland, Downtown, and Midtown Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) districts. LAKELAND, FL (October 1, 2025) - Easton Drive, from Fairmount Avenue to Buckingham Avenue, will be repaved with asphalt due to safety issues caused by repeated washouts of the existing brick street during heavy rainfall. Premium general parking will be available for just $9 per day (plus taxes and fees). For those who prefer a no-cost option, the grass overflow lot will remain free.
