City News Blog: Citrus Connection Offers Free Transportation to Detroit Tigers Spring Training Games with TIGERTOWN Express
LAKELAND, FL (February 7, 2025) | Citrus Connection is excited to announce the return of the TIGERTOWN Express, providing complimentary transportation from four locations in Lakeland to Publix Field at Joker Marchant Stadium for all Detroit Tigers Spring Training home games.
Convenient Transportation Options Patrons can avoid the challenges of traffic and parking by utilizing the TIGERTOWN Express, with pick-up locations at:
- Gow B. Fields Park & Ride
- Lakeland Park Center
- Rose Street Park & Ride
- RP Funding Center
TIGERTOWN Express flags mark each stop for easy identification. This service is accessible to the public and fully ADA compliant.
Two Streamlined Routes
- North Route: Departs from Lakeland Park Center and Gow B. Fields Park & Ride, offering direct service to Joker Marchant Stadium (Approximate frequency: 10-12 minutes).
- South Route: Departs from RP Funding Center and Rose Street Park & Ride, providing efficient transportation to and from the stadium (Approximate frequency: 13-15 minutes).
Expanded Service to Local Hotels
New this year, the TIGERTOWN Express will serve hotels in Lakeside Village, with pick-ups at:

- Home2 Suites by Hilton
- Courtyard by Marriott
- Residence Inn
Hotel shuttles run every 18-20 minutes, ensuring a convenient ride for visitors.
