COMMEMORATIVE BRICKS AVAILABLE FOR POLICE MEMORIAL
LAKELAND, FL (November 2, 2021) - Be a part of the Memorial that honors fallen officers who lost their lives while serving the citizens of Lakeland by sponsoring a personalized brick that will be included in the foundation of the Lakeland Police Fallen Heroes Memorial. For one month only, the Lakeland Police Foundation has re-opened the commemorative brick sales for the Lakeland Police Fallen Heroes Memorial. The personalized brick pavers offer citizens, businesses, or community groups to become part of the permanent foundation at the entrance of the police memorial site.
Bricks are available for a minimum donation of $100.00. Each personalized paver allows for three lines of engraving, with 20 characters per line. Orders can be placed at https://lakelandpolicefoundation.com/memorial-bricks. All donations are tax-deductible and proceeds from the brick donations will go to the perpetual care of the Lakeland Police Fallen Heroes Memorial. The deadline to reserve bricks and solidify being a part of this meaningful Memorial is December 1, 2021.

The Lakeland Police Fallen Heroes Memorial is located at the entrance of the police station, 219 North Massachusetts Avenue. Constructed in 2017 to pay tribute to those who selflessly made the ultimate sacrifice so that the people of Lakeland can live, work, play, and raise their families in safety and peace, the Memorial also serves as a place of reflection and appreciation for those members who currently serve our community. The Memorial features glass plaques honoring the seven fallen Lakeland police officers, a large bronze statue of an Honor Guard officer watching over the site, and a beautiful glass etched police badge. Within the foundation are commemorative personalized brick pavers of past and present members of the Lakeland Police Department and community supporters whose donations helped fund the project.
The Lakeland Police Foundation, Inc. (“Foundation”), is a Florida not for profit corporation and a 50l(c)(3) corporation under the Internal Revenue Code. The Foundation was incorporated in 2012. The Foundation's mission is to support members of the Lakeland Police Department and their families. Support has included building and maintaining the Fallen Heroes Memorial, providing critical care support for retired LPD canines (K-9s), educational grants, hardship grants arising from deaths, serious injuries, illnesses, and other personal crises. The foundation supports these various programs through generous donations from citizens, as well as conducting fundraising events.
