LAKELAND, FL (May 12, 2022) | T. Mims Corp. Red, White & Kaboom Independence Day Celebration will take place at Lake Mirror along the Frances Langford Promenade on Sunday, July 3rd from 6:00 p.m. – 9:15 p.m. with Andrew Luv & the Franchise Players entertaining the crowd before a dazzling firework display at 9:00 p.m.

We are asking that everyone who is attending to please bring at least one non-perishable food item.  There will be volunteers collecting canned food items that will be donated to Volunteers in Service to the Elderly (VISTE).  VISTE is a community based non-profit organization serving Lakeland, Bartow, Mulberry, and Ft. Meade.  Established in 1983, the primary goal is to enable elderly persons to continue living independently and safely in their own homes.

The festivities will start with a live concert featuring Andrew Luv & the Franchise Players.  Andrew Luv & the Franchise Players will bring their unique blend of Soul, Pop, Smooth Jazz, and Hip Hop to the Red, White & Kaboom center stage. The group promises a refreshing musical experience.  They play an eclectic list of popular hits lead by an energetic front man with a velvet voice who knows how to command a crowd. We are sure you will agree this dynamic entertainment package is one of the most exciting show groups in Central Florida!

Tom Mims, President of T. Mims Corporation said, “We are always excited to sponsor Red, White & Kaboom.  Our family has been the title sponsor of Red, White & Kaboom since 2009 and we look forward to the event every year. It is an excellent opportunity for our community to come together in celebration of our great country.”  He added, “We ask all those attending to bring a canned food item that will help those in need. All non-perishable items benefit Volunteers in Service to the Elderly (VISTE). We want everyone to have fun be we also want to help raise awareness for VISTE and use this opportunity to have the community’s largest canned food drive.”

During Red, White & Kaboom there will be a variety of food trucks around Lake Mirror so bring a blanket, bring your appetite, and enjoy the festivities in celebrating our great nation.  The event will conclude with a dramatic display of fireworks over the lake.  The evening is free to the public and everyone attending is encouraged to bring at least one non-perishable food item to benefit VISTE.
