Upcoming Event

This year’s keynote speaker will be Staff Sergeant Keni Thomas, who was portrayed in the book and movie, “Black Hawk Down.” This year marks 16 years since Polk County Sheriff’s Deputy Matt Williams and his K9 partner DiOGi were killed in the line of duty. This event honors Deputy Williams, DiOGi, and all the law enforcement officers who protect the community. As of 2018, more than $150,000 has been raised to purchase 21 dogs through the K9s for Cops program.
