Lakeland City Commission Meetings are held on the first and third Monday of every month. Meetings begin at 9:00 AM and take place inside the Commissioner Chambers at City Hall, located at 219 N. Massachusetts Ave. Meetings are televised and air on Brighthouse Networks Channel 615 and Verizon FiOS Channel 43. View Agendas
The Utility Committee serves as an advisory board to the Mayor & City Commission and is responsible for the review of Lakeland Electric financial and operational reports, fuel cost recovery, rate structures, contracts, programs and departmental initiatives. Utility Committee Meetings are held on the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month. Meetings begin at 1PM in the City Commission Chambers at City Hall located at 228 S. Massachusetts Ave.
Lakeland Police Department’s Chief’s Chat will be held on the first Monday of each month from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the Community Room of the Lakeland Police Department, located at 219 N Massachusetts Avenue.
The Zoning Board of Adjustments and Appeals hears and decides appeals for variances from the literal enforcement of the terms of the Zoning Code. Meetings are held on the 1st Tuesday of each month at 9:00 a.m. in the Commission Chambers at City Hall located at 228 S. Massachusetts Ave Lakeland, FL.
The Lakeland Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association (LCPAAA) in conjunction with the City of Lakeland Parks & Recreation Department is hosting the “6th Annual Honoring Heroes BBQ Dinner and Silent Auction” at the Lake Mirror Complex on Saturday, September 6, 2014. The event, which is open to the public, will begin at 6:00 pm with the auction closing at 8:00 pm. Tickets for the event are $10.00 in advance and $15.00 at the door. Tickets can be purchased at the upcoming First Friday Event or by calling (863) 934-0710.
While at the event, guests will enjoy a delicious barbecue dinner and have fun bidding on their favorite items in the silent auction. On the auction table will be something for everyone’s budget with items ranging from gift cards to local restaurants to vacation getaways. There will be opportunities to meet the K9 officers and their loyal partners.
