Public Notice | Portion of Orange Street to Close for Sanitary Sewer Repair

LAKELAND, FL (February 12, 2024) | On Tuesday, February 13, 2024 the City of Lakeland Wastewater Collection Division will start work on a sanitary sewer repair that will cause Orange Street to close to through traffic between Lake Avenue and Ingraham Avenue.  Multiple repairs are needed for the sewer main and sewer lateral lines in the vicinity. Crews will be working from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. daily until this repair work has been completed. During scheduled work hours, Orange Street will be closed to through traffic, however, local traffic will be accommodated so that the residents will be able to access their homes. Outside of designated work hours, Orange Street will re-open, and traffic will be able to flow through as normal. The duration of the project is expected to take several weeks based on initial review.  Once crews open the area up and start work, they will have a better estimate of the exact time needed to complete the project.
