GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN: BUILDINGS FROM LAKELAND'S PAST
| | The Lakeland Armory |

| | Back | The Armory was located on Lakeland Hills Boulevard near what is now Lakeland Regional Medical Center. It was built as a WPA project in 1935 at a cost of $32,000. It was largely abandoned when the Florida National Guard moved to a new site near the airport in 1974. It was torn down in 1976.
