LAKELAND GOES TO SCHOOL: BUILDINGS
| | St. Joseph's Academy |

| | Back | | St. Joseph's Academy was built as the 25 bed Morrell Hospital in 1916. Located at 223 South Missouri, it also served as the home to the Polk County WPA office in the 1930's before being donated to the parish in 1939. It opened as St. Joseph's Academy in the fall of that year. The building was damaged beyond repair by fire in 1979 and torn down. |
