Jackson Jumpstart

Crafty Creations

Join us on Wednesday, January 8th from 5 pm to 6:30 pm in the Lakeland History Room at Lakeland Public Library to learn how to create a felt quilt banner using only scissors and glue—no sewing skills needed!  All supplies will be provided.

This event is for ages 18+. Registration is required and opens at 5 PM on Thursday, January 2nd.

Sewing Saturday on January 11th at Main Library

We've got the basics, where can we go? Join us on Saturday, January 11th at 10:00 am at the Lakeland Public Library for projects to sew!

Older kids and teens ages 9-17 with sewing machine experience are invited to join us for a free 90-minute class. Sewing Saturday is limited to ten (10) participants and registration is required.

Preschool Storytimes at Lakeland Libraries

All three Lakeland Library locations have preschool storytimes for children ages 2-5 and their grownups! With stories, songs, rhymes and activities, storytimes promote the development of preliteracy, verbal and listening skills, and socio-emotional skills.
