Library Holiday Hours at Main Library

The Lakeland Public Library will be closed on Sunday, April 20th, for the Easter holiday.

We will reopen on Monday, April 21st at 9 am.

Whole Foods & Food Processing Workshop

Discover the secret for loading your plate with whole foods while giving processed munchies the cold shoulder, thanks to Feeding Tampa Bay! This informative workshop on Wednesday, April 16th from 3 PM to 4 PM in the Lakeland Public Library Meeting Room features a presentation and food demonstration that can guide you toward healthier choices.

This workshop is intended for age 18+. Registration is required and opens at 3 PM on Wednesday, April 9th. 

Minecraft Bingo at Jackson Branch

You may not rest now, there are prizes to win! Minecrafters of all ages are invited to the Larry R. Jackson Branch Library on Saturday, April 19th from 10 AM to 11:30 AM for a Minecraft-themed bingo in celebration of A Minecraft Movie! Upon arrival, you will receive your Minecraft-themed bingo cards and will be able to play for prizes.

No registration required. Please try to arrive by 10 am to not miss any of the fun!

Manga & Anime Club at Jackson Branch Library

Calling all 13 to 17-year-old anime fans! The LJB Anime club is dedicated to all things manga and anime! We have crafts, anime-related activities, art materials, and snacks. Bring your opinions, recommendations, and come hang out! Join us on Friday, April 18th from 3 PM to 4:30 PM at the Larry R. Jackson Branch Library!

Preschool Storytimes at Lakeland Libraries

All three Lakeland Library locations have preschool storytimes for children ages 2-5 and their grownups! With stories, songs, rhymes, and activities, storytimes promote the development of preliteracy, verbal and listening skills, and socio-emotional skills.
